Violently Happy

I can change from being pissed off to being happy but I don't see it as bipolar I see it as being a girl.

Some people are so stressed trying to be perfectly flawless, but I'm so HAPPY to be perfectly flawed.

Happiness is the delicate balance between what one is and what one has.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort.

True happiness is singing at the top of your lungs in your car while the people in the car next to you are staring.

OOOh. and flags flying because today is truly a day to reflect on those who have served our country, some paying the ultimate price.

I celebrated last night with an over-strong margarita. After the fifth time of saying, I'm so not okay" and hubby holding up a finger each time I said it, I don't have much memory of happy, or otherwise. Yep, I'm a cheap drunk!

I vote for the "singing at the top of your lungs in your car" quote. Good one! SO hits MY happy button. Every day of the year.

My happy this weekend? Painting my back screened porch floor red! RED!

Music blaring, sun shining, wind blowing, flags waving, hamburgers grilling, water spraying (from the garden hose) for a quick cool down now and again...as I paint my porch red while sunning myself (book in hand) in between coats.

Today is pretty near perfect. :)

Went for a beach walk, coffee with a girlfriend, then movie "the best exotic Marigold hotel" (must see) and dinner with a couple of gal friends.

Great day.

My life is good.

Some (more) gardening. Ribs on the grill, cob corn, potato salad, watermelon. Going out on the deck to see the planes fly overhead and buzz the Veteran's park Memorial Day ceremony three times. A ride on the pontoon. :-)

I've had the house to myself since Saturday morning...and I'm loving it! No ringing phones, no one stopping by unexpectedly.

*happy sigh*
